Jerome County Jail Population

The strongest current official population figure is the SIRCOMM In Custody Report. The report printed June 8, 2026 listed 157 total records for Jerome County Sheriff. That number is a point-in-time current custody count, not an annual average. The current county jail page does not publish a current official bed count, although outside design references have described 132 or 135 beds.

The In Custody Report lists name, hold agency, booking number, booking date, days in custody, and front mugshot. It does not list charges, bond, full demographic details, or a court case number.

Jerome County Jail Contact

The jail and sheriff's office are at the Sheriff's Office and Detention Center on South Tiger Drive. County pages list slightly different office-hour blocks in different places, so call before arriving for lobby access, records, bond, property, or attorney-related needs.

Visit Jerome County Jail

The county jail page states that all visitations are done via video visits. Friends and family are directed to set up an account with GettingOut or contact ViaPath friends and family customer service at 1-866-516-0115. The county page does not publish an in-person schedule, visit length, local fee table, visitor ID rule, locker rule, or child-visitor policy.

Attorney visits and court-related contact rules were not published on the jail page. Attorneys should coordinate directly with the jail and court staff.

Mail Phone and Money

Official Jerome County pages located in the research did not publish a full mail format, commissary vendor, phone-rate table, money-deposit vendor, kiosk location, accepted payment methods, or deposit fees for the county jail. The jail uses GettingOut/ViaPath for video visits, but that does not prove local money or phone rules without a county source.

Booking at Jerome County Jail

The public reports show the local booking path. A person arrested by the sheriff, Jerome Police Department, Idaho State Police, or another agency may be transported to Jerome County Jail. Intake can create a booking number and booking date, enter charges or holds, produce a booking photo, and place the person in the current custody report if still held.

The Daily Arrests Report may show booking charges with age and sex for new arrests. The Daily Arraignments Report may show the first appearance schedule, description code, cell location, and deputy number. Court charges should be checked in iCourt because prosecutor-filed charges may differ from booking charges.

Idaho Code section 74-103 sets public-record response timing under current law, while the local form still refers to older Idaho Code language. Current requests should describe the record clearly: name, date of birth if known, booking number, booking date, case number, and what record is being requested.

Warrants and Bond

Jerome County's Active Warrants Report can explain why someone may be booked or held. The June 8, 2026 report listed warrant number, jurisdiction, issue date, description, original charges, and bond amount. Bond language included Book & Release, No Bond, and cash/surety amounts. A no-bond hold or outside-agency detainer can prevent release even if another charge appears bondable.

Directions to Jerome County Jail

Jerome County Jail is on South Tiger Drive in Jerome. From I-84, use a Jerome exit and route into the south side of town toward Tiger Drive. From downtown Jerome and the county administrative offices on North Lincoln Avenue, route south to the Sheriff's Office and Detention Center. Do not go to the Thomas H. Borresen Judicial Complex on West Main Street for jail custody questions.

Official county sources do not publish visitor parking restrictions, public transit route details, or ADA entrance instructions for the jail. Call ahead for mobility needs, lobby access, bond visits, property questions, or records pickup.
